The Last Mile

Limping onto the grounds...bleeding, hurt, crying. I SHIVERED...my coat lost its ~~color~~...its not a ~~pritty~~ dappled grey any more but an ugly blood stained coat. My mane in knots...and my tail covered in [s]bloodand mud. My blue eyes seemed to have lost its sparkle. My hooves are chipped...Ever since I was released, I havn't known how to make friends...no one is friends with me...Everyone discriminates me because I am DIFFERENT
...then they attack me.I painfully
swish my banner.

Kichigai walked into the lands staring at the lake before him. It was beautiful and he liked it a lot. He wondered how Bitten was doing and if she was fine being alone. Seeing a pale mare with blood all over her caught his attention. How could some stallion let a mare, looking like that, be alone with all the predators around? Trotting towards her he shivered a little his black pelt moving.

"Miss, are you alright?"

I shook my bloodstained coat, nothing but fresh blood came off. It was painful to move but I kept up. I didn't want to be with anyone right now, who would wanna be with such an ugly mare. I wished to look like I did, I was a dappled grey, I had a shorter mane, and I was a all discipline horse...They all thought I was ~~Beautiful~~, such a ~~Cute~~ little arabian mare with blue eyes. But now I doubt what they said.

Kichiga watched the mare, slowly getting ticked off because she had not talked back to him. Looking her over he could tell that she had been through alot, but she still should respect a king?

"Fae, for the last time, are you all right?"

He really did want to help her, she just had to talk to him and tell him what was going on.

I got angry...I lost my temper a little bit and spoke in irritated tones

"Does it look like Im okay?"

She blinked and limped onward.

Kichigai watched the mare trot away, which just made more ticked off. This mare was walking away from him? Him the neutral king!!!! Snorting he trotted after her.

"No, you don't look okey. But it is only right for a King to ask if others are alright."

As painful as it was I didn't trust anyone, I watched the sun make funny figures in the sky...I didnt' care much for a king now unless he can make me trust then Id rather not speak. I snapped my banner riddingit of biting flies. But buzzards were about and looking for a meal. Oh no I wasn't gonna be buzzard food.

Arawn loped around effortlessly. His large frame moved easily. Now from the first look at him you would think he was a purebred arab. Sadly, or rather gladly, he was a simple arabic cross. With what? He really didn't know. His sire had been the arab, his dam the unknown. Well, how could he not know what his dam was? Well, his dam died giving birth to him and he was raised by another mare in the herd. That was when the spirit of his dam started to come to him. Then his sire died in a fight, and then his ghost would appear and teach the young colt.
He shook his head as the sharp scent of blood reached his muzzle. His lips rankled in disgust as he eased into a trot to his complete disgust. He slowed to a halt spotting Kichigia and a mare. He nodded towards the black calmly and a little respectively before turning his attention to the mare.
"Is there something you need?" He asked curiously. "Ah, by and by my name is Arawn." He said after a slight pause. He had decided to forbear his normal way of talking. It 'twould creep out many a horse.

I pulled my self into a hault. True it was that I didn't trust anyone...But I did have a feeling I wouldn't be getting out of this one. I listened to his words...Ol' english is what me papa said twas' I finally let out small voice

"Last Mile be thyne name"

I bowed a little bit sure he isn't a king but I felt they did deserve somthing from me. Oh well too late to turn back now

"Me mo ther called me Jazz"

I said again....I walked in circles...but the blood kept spilling out of my open wounds.

Arawn's ears flickered. Strange way of speaking. Oh well, no need to worry about that right now. "Deary, you should really rest otherwise you're liable to bleed to death and that wouldn't be a good way tp go." He said calmly, still forbearing his normal way of speaking though his cadence still held that of a voice used to chanting.

I shook my head, I was full of energy but it hurt to walk, I had to keep moving or else I would surley be buzzard food. I smelt the air, I smelled somthing rather odd.

"Is .....pie?"

I asked it smelled like pie...what would pie be doing out in the wild?
